Chasing Myth
Irish Tour
Ahead of the release of his new album David Keenan is taking to the road this October to play hidden gems & hallowed rooms.
With 11 gigs planned, featuring stops in every province in Ireland, the tour is all about the stories, the people and the joy of playing live in some special places.
David says “I’m chasing myth around Ireland, seeking out local stories and folklore as I go.
They say the Irish pub is dying and that magic doesn’t exist in venues anymore? I’m setting out to prove this wrong in October. It’s not about the size of the room or the fee, it’s about the people, the place and the music”

“4 Stars & Album of the Week ”
“9/10 “My Album of the Year” ”
“ With Modern Mythologies, David Keenan doesn’t just return, the detonates. If music is a mirror, this album doesn’t show you a polished reflection, It shows you the cracked glass, the part that lets the light through.”
“Keenan’s abilities are flaunted in abundance, and it’s a welcome return from an artist who is deserving of far more recognition for everything he’s doing to keep the storytelling tradition of his homeland alive.
”
““Keenan is an eloquent, occasionally conflicted man and a maverick songwriter for whom there are no obvious markers”
”
““This is a David whose songwriting talent is Goliath-sized; it is the Dundalk man’s best yet, no less a lyricist than Leonard Cohen would have been proud of the truths so beautifully told on Incandescent Morning.””
““Modern Mythologies” is a place where fear and joy can coexist, stories can be a balm for our pain, and every person might see a piece of themselves reflected.
”
“This is not a return to form; it is a reclamation. Modern Mythologies closes one chapter and opens another, leaving Keenan standing in full creative autonomy as he steps into a new era.
